Captain Cook's first step ashore anywhere in New Zealand was at Poverty Bay
A real good sort this Nobilo. All the lively peach, citrus and sorbet you can expect with some creamy, mealy notes out of the luxurious barrel treatment. I'd go all the way with this wine as to say it creates some pretty high expectations and really delivers. Bright bouquets of fleshy fruit, creamy mouthfeel, a palate of french vanilla, currant and quince, lingering long to impressions of oatmeal, chick pea and citron.

Planted to a property named Wildfell in 1851 by the original proprietor
Springs out of the bottle with nuances of dark forest berries, tapioca oak, violet and cassis. A finely woven, medium bodied palate of ripe and juicy, layered berry characters are sandwiched in a wrapping of creamy, aromatic oak and gummy tannins which provide savoury counterfoil to the dank, concentrated fruits. A stylish, structured wine to savour with venison, sirloin and marinated pork.
